The fourfold Gospel

As a Foursquare church, we stand firmly on the fourfold ministry of Jesus Christ: Saviour, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Healer, and Soon-Coming King. This foundation shapes our worship, our teaching, and our mission.

What we hold to, in brief — each with its Scripture.

  1. 01The Holy Scriptures

    We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is His Word to us.

    Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17

  2. 02The Eternal Godhead

    We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:14

  3. 03The Fall of Man

    We believe people were created in God’s image, but through wilful disobedience fell from that perfection.

    Scripture: Romans 5:12, 19

  4. 04The Plan of Redemption

    We believe that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us, providing pardon for all who believe in Him.

  5. 05Salvation Through Grace

    We believe we have no righteousness of our own; we come to God trusting in the righteousness of Christ alone.

  6. 06Repentance & Acceptance

    We believe that through sincere repentance and wholehearted acceptance of Christ, we are made right with God.

  7. 07The New Birth

    We believe the change that takes place in a person’s heart and life at conversion is real.

  8. 08Daily Christian Life

    We believe it is God’s will that we be sanctified daily, growing steadily in faith.

  9. 09Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

    We believe baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work, and we remember Christ at the Lord’s Supper with bread and the fruit of the vine.

  10. 10Baptism of/with the Holy Spirit

    We believe the baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers believers, and that He comes today as He did in Bible days.

  11. 11The Spirit-Filled Life

    We believe it is God’s will that we walk in the Spirit every day.

  12. 12The Gifts & Fruit of the Holy Spirit

    We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers, and that the fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of a Spirit-filled life.

  13. 13Moderation

    We believe a believer’s experience and daily walk should be balanced, never driven to extremes or fanaticism.

  14. 14Divine Healing

    We believe Christ still heals the sick in answer to the prayer of faith.

    Scripture: James 5:14–16

  15. 15The Second Coming of Christ

    We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, and that His coming could be at any time.

  16. 16Church Relationship

    We believe it is our sacred duty to be part of the visible church of Christ, gathering faithfully with other believers.

  17. 17Civil Government

    We believe we should honour and uphold those in authority, except in matters that oppose the will of God.

  18. 18Judgment

    We believe all people will one day stand before God’s judgment seat, to receive eternal life or eternal death.

  19. 19Heaven

    We believe heaven is the glorious, eternal home of all who are born again.

    Scripture: John 14:1–3; Revelation 7:15–17

  20. 20Hell

    We believe hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as Saviour.

  21. 21Evangelism

    We believe winning people to Christ is the most important responsibility of the Church.

  22. 22Tithes and Offerings

    We believe God’s way to support and spread His work is through tithes and freewill offerings.
